Coach Tyler Latorre Baseball Coach at Westmont College, now Head Baseball Coach at Pepperdine University

"Danno, Once again, thank you so very much for your time spent with our baseball program. More importantly, we so greatly appreciate the impact that you had on our players and coaching staff. Our players are still talking about and using the techniques you taught them when discussing base stealing. They were also humbled by the personalized signed copy of your book, Thou Shall Not Steal. We’re implementing further work regarding stealing second and third base, and your attention to detail will be felt for this season and years to come. The on-the-field teachings were amazing, but more importantly, your impact will be felt off the field with your testimony and time away from the X’s and O’s of baseball. Your message resonated with many of our players, and you even got over 30 players to raise their hands in commitment to giving their lives to the Lord. That moment was incredibly impactful for me as a coach of these young men. Your passion for discipleship has given me a greater sense of purpose in leading this baseball program. Thank you so much! Another great aspect of your visit was our call with Zach Remillard. His passion for baseball and how it intersects with faith truly struck home for many of our guys. Understanding that we can use baseball as a platform to glorify God allowed our players to see the pressure of the game in a new light—through faith in God and Jesus Christ. We will continue to grow in our faith as a team and as individuals thanks to you. Thank you again for your continued impact on our players!"

Jake Koonen Star Player, Princeton University

"Dan took me under his wing, and my time improved from 4.19 seconds to 3.34 seconds. The big thing is, when you do everything right, you know no one can throw you out, and that gives me confidence. My junior year, I stole about 15 bases, and after working with Dan for a year, I stole 25 out of 25 bases my senior year, and 19 out of 19 in summer league. Something I didn’t expect from Dan was that, during our sessions, we would also read the Gospel of John. In our last session, I gave my heart to Jesus. Now, it looks like I’ll be the starting 3B for Princeton University next season. I look forward to continuing our relationship and seeing Dan not just as a base running coach, but as a major influence in my life."

Carson Cherry Freshman Wofford College

Dan met me at my high school field and instantly improved my time in minutes—sparking a journey that would take me from 3.94 to a 3.21. While most of the work was physical, the psychological and mental blueprint of base stealing was taught to me and improved my all around skillset. I found major success in my two years of working with him in high school. I never knew a small interaction at my high school on a random day would spark into a new path in both baseball and in my faith. I gave my heart to Christ while working with him, and have been on the best journey in my life since then: following Christ. Dan is more than just a coach, he’s my pastor and one of my mentors. A man that I look up to, both in life and in my faith.

Through our coaching sessions, Coach Dan fostered a strong sense of trust and accountability, allowing me to openly share my challenges and aspirations around base stealing while incorporating biblical wisdom into my goals. Beyond just achieving my baseball, base stealing goals and objectives coach was instrumental in mentoring me spiritually too. I sincerely appreciate all the help and guidance he has provided and know he will continue to be there if I need him. God blessed me with Coach Dan, and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
